To promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being through the practice of yoga and to encourage students to adopt a healthy lifestyle by integrating yoga into their daily routine.
On the morning of 21st June 2025, the National College of Information Technology (NCIT) celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and energy. The event began at 6:30 AM on the college grounds, where over 60 students and faculty members gathered to participate in a collective yoga session.
Led by a certified yoga instructor, the session included warm-up exercises, breathing techniques (Pranayama), and a series of yoga asanas beneficial for physical fitness and mental clarity. Participants were also made aware of the significance of yoga in daily life and its ancient roots in Indian tradition.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 100 students and faculty. Everyone followed the instructor with discipline and focus, embracing the peaceful atmosphere created during the session.
The yoga session helped students and faculty feel refreshed, relaxed, and more connected to their inner well-being. It reinforced the importance of regular physical activity and mindfulness in managing academic and personal stress.
NCIT is committed to the holistic development of its students. The celebration of International Yoga Day served as a reminder of the value of ancient Indian practices in today’s fast-paced world. The college aims to make yoga a regular part of campus life for the well-being of all.
