SC/ST Committee


At National College of IT, Muktsar, we are dedicated to ensuring equal opportunities, dignity, and a discrimination-free environment for students from the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). The SC/ST Committee has been established following UGC, AICTE, NAAC, and MRSPTU guidelines to prevent discrimination, address grievances, and promote inclusivity in education.

This committee actively monitors policies, provides support, and takes necessary actions against violations of constitutional rights and institutional policies affecting SC/ST students.

Objectives of the SC/ST Committee


  • ✔ Ensure equal opportunities for SC/ST students in academic, social, and extracurricular activities.
  • ✔ Prevent discrimination based on caste and take action against violations of rights.
  • ✔ Monitor implementation of reservation policies for admissions, scholarships, and faculty recruitment.
  • ✔ Provide grievance redressal to SC/ST students facing harassment or bias.
  • ✔ Create awareness about government schemes, scholarships, and welfare programs for SC/ST students.
  • ✔ Organize workshops and counseling to support students academically and professionally.
