To raise awareness about the importance of water conservation, responsible usage, and the growing need to protect this vital resource among students and the local community.
On 24th March 2025, the NSS Unit of NCIT organized a Water Drive Awareness Campaign in observance of World Water Day. The drive aimed to educate students and the public about the significance of water in daily life and how small actions can contribute to large-scale conservation.
The event began with an awareness rally from the NCIT campus to nearby residential areas, where students carried placards, raised slogans, and distributed informative pamphlets on water-saving techniques. Sessions were held on campus discussing the water crisis, sustainable habits, and government initiatives for water conservation.
40 enthusiastic NSS volunteers participated in the campaign. They engaged with local residents, shared practical tips for saving water at home, and encouraged the adoption of rainwater harvesting and leak-prevention measures.
The campaign created a ripple effect, spreading crucial knowledge on water conservation and instilling a sense of responsibility among the students and community members. Many locals appreciated the initiative and pledged to adopt water-saving practices in their households.
NCIT, through its NSS unit, continues to promote environmental consciousness and civic responsibility. The Water Drive Awareness Campaign served as a powerful reminder of the collective effort required to preserve natural resources for future generations.
