To raise awareness among students about climate change, its global and local impact, and to promote eco-conscious practices and sustainable living.
On 27th March 2025, the National College of Information Technology (NCIT), in collaboration with MANAS Society, organized a Climate Change Awareness Camp at the NCIT campus. The camp aimed to educate students on the causes, effects, and actionable solutions to combat climate change and promote environmental stewardship.
Experts and volunteers from MANAS Society conducted engaging sessions highlighting the urgent need to address global warming, pollution, deforestation, and carbon emissions. Real-life case studies, interactive Q&A sessions, and group discussions made the camp both informative and inspiring.
More than 100 students from various departments participated enthusiastically. The students also took a pledge to adopt eco-friendly habits such as reducing plastic usage, saving energy, planting trees, and spreading environmental awareness.
The camp successfully sensitized students to the realities of climate change and encouraged them to become active contributors toward a greener and healthier planet. It reinforced the role of youth in driving environmental change.
NCIT extends heartfelt thanks to MANAS Society for their support and looks forward to more such collaborations to strengthen environmental education and responsibility among students.
