National College of Information Technology was founded in 2001 under the chairmanship and guidance of Mr. Manjit Singh Sandhu. After having been in the education sector for 27+ years, the experience was telling enough for smooth running of the operations from Day one. The college is a part of the National Education Trust which also runs National Public Sr. Sec. School, affiliated to CBSE. The college had been affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar till 2015. Since then, along with every college of the region, the affiliation has been moved to Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda.
After making strong impact on school education for 16 years, NET (National Education Trust) decided to contribute for the cause of education in Information Technology also. Keeping in view the demand of impedance of IT in the Current Scenario NET started �National College of Information Technology� in 2001. Starting with 40 seats in BCA, the college has attained mammoth strength in all IT courses offered by PTU. The students have shown a deep faith and concern towards the Institution and in return, the faculties have tried to fill such spirit of discipline and hard work in their pupils, that it has become the premier IT Institution of the Muktsar region: I congratulate the students, parents and the teachers for grading 'National College of IT' as the best Institution of the region. I ensure you that all care would be taken to provide you the best of infrastructure and facilities so that you may touch the greater heights of success. Keeping in view the increasing population of India, the fast growing number of arts, technology and medical college is a booon. But education institutes with pure commercial purpose are a symbol of sad ersion of human values Building a 'Knowledge Society'is an imperative for our nation.
